Peacefully at rest, on Thursday 5th February 2026, in the care of Leighton Hospital. Maureen aged 82 years of Church Lawton, formerly of Bucknall. Loving and devoted Wife of Kevan and a special friend of many. Maureen will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her. Funeral service and cremation to take place at Bradwell Crematorium on Monday 9th March 2026 at 12.40pm. Will all relatives and friends wishing to attend kindly meet at Bradwell Crematorium. Peacefully on Saturday 14th February 2026, Alan aged 89 years of Alsager and Stone (former Pharmacist and MD of George Staples Chemist). The dearly loved husband of the late Joyce, loving dad of Philip, Mark and Christopher. Service to be held at Wesley Place Methodist Church, Alsager on Wednesday 18th March at 11.45am. Passed away peacefully at Cypress Court Care Home, aged 104 years. Margaret, a much-loved Mum, a cherished Nana & treasured Great Nana. On Monday 16th February 2026, peacefully in hospital, Peter aged 93 years. Beloved and loving Husband of the late Elizabeth, loving Father of Brian, Alison and David, much loved Father-in-Law to Polly, Helen and the late Colin, devoted Grandfather of Yasmin, Hannah, Anna, Jamie, Elanor, Naomi and Alice and a dear Brother of the late Mary. Peter will be missed greatly by all who knew him.

The Funeral Service will take place at 1.30 p.m. on Wednesday, 11th March at Sutton St James Parish Church followed by a private Service of Committal at Macclesfield Crematorium. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of "Joan" The much loved mother of Russell and Gary and the loving wife of her late husband Joe. Devoted Grandma to Christina and Antonia and the much loved mother in law to Annette and Jane and sister in law to Sam. Fondly remembered by all of her friends and family. Joan died peacefully with all of her family around her and will be greatly missed by all. A life fully lived and to be celebrated.

Jane MUIR

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jane Helen Muir, nee Chetham, who passed away peacefully on Sunday 1st February 2026 at the age of 78. Jane retired after many years as a talented teacher and deputy head of Tythernigton School, Macclesfield. In her retirement she was a keen bridge player, antique dealer, charity worker, and the heart of our family. Jane is survived by her husband, Don, their two children, Alex and Larry, and their grandchildren, Olivia & Harry, as well as her sister, Gill. Jane's funeral will take place at St James' Church, Gawsworth at 11:30am on Friday, 27th February to celebrate her life. On Monday 9th February 2026, peacefully in a local care home, Mick (also known as Soapy) aged 78 years. Dearly loved Son of the late Dorothy and a much-loved friend to Kath, Lisa, Chris and Clemmy. Mick was a most loyal, trusted and greatly valued employee at Henshaw's where he worked for many years as a Coalman and later as a Yardman. Mick shall be missed greatly by his dear friends and former colleagues.
