On 3rd February 2026, Bob of Buxton and formerly of Holmfirth, passed away peacefully at Macclesfield General Hospital, aged 78 years. Beloved husband of the late Christine Whitehead, loving father of Ruth and Edward, a cherished grandad of Francesca, Iwan, Henry and Skye and a much loved brother of Anne. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.


Funeral service to be held at Macclesfield Crematorium on Friday 27th February 2026 at 10am followed by refreshments at The Old Hall, Buxton. Family flowers only please. David ELLIS

Elly aged 73 years of Macclesfield, passed away at home peacefully as he wished with his beloved Wife Rose by his side on Tuesday 3rd February 2026. Dearly loved Dad of Steve and Shaz, cherished "Silly Grandad" of Jorge and Jack, loving Father In Law of Kirsty and Andy, Beloved Son of the late Ted and Ethel Ellis and treasured Brother of Janet, Geoff, Suzanne, Gillian and the late Patricia. Elly will be sadly missed by all his family and many, many friends.


A Celebration of his Life will take place on Friday 27th February 2026 with service and committal at Macclesfield Crematorium at 3.30pm. Family flowers only, donations may be sent for The East Cheshire Hospice and Marie Curie. No dress code, please wear anything you feel appropriate. Ronald James BISKNELL

On Wednesday 4th February 2026, peacefully in hospital, Ron aged 91 years. Beloved and loving husband of Marigold, loving father of Martin, Stephanie and the late Julia, much loved father-in-law to Caitlin and Peter, devoted grandfather of George, Laurence, Tasha, Eddie, Nadia, Sam and great-grandfather of Cali and Ayla. Ron's career spanned many years at Ciba Geigy where he served as an Industrial Chemist. Latterly he was the proprietor of Bridgewater Books, an antiquarian bookshop, located on Sunderland Street. Ron will be missed greatly by all who knew him.


The Funeral Service will take place at 10.45 a.m. on Thursday 5th March at Macclesfield Crematorium followed by private Interment in Macclesfield Cemetery. Family flowers only, by request, but donations may be made, if so desired, in favour of the RNLI. Joseph Anthony ROBINSON

Passed away on 27th January at Leighton Hospital, Joseph Anthony Robinson "Joe" aged 26 years. Devoted son to Helen and Philip, much loved brother to Andrew, treasured grandson and a dear friend to many. Joe will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all his family and friends.


Funeral service to take place on Wednesday 25th February at 1pm at Crewe Crematorium Chapel followed by an interment in Crewe Cemetery. Peacefully at the R.S.U.H on 16th January 2026, Brenda aged 93 years of Bignall End, formerly of Macclesfield. A loving and devoted wife of Philip and a beloved mum of Elizabeth and David, a cherished mother-in-law of Neil, and a dear grandma of Emily and Scarlett and a good friend to many.

Funeral service to take place on Wednesday 25th February 2026 at St James the Great Church, Audley at 11:00am. Followed by committal at Bradwell Crematorium. Family flowers only please. Ray peacefully passed away at Prospect House, Malpas on Friday 6th February 2026, aged 91 years. Dear Brother-in-law to Albert and Pat. Cherished Uncle to Russell, Julian, Gavin, Duncan, Robert, Peter, Claire, Karen, Philip and Jan. Ray will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Angela Phillips, Who died at home on 1st February 2026 aged 79. A funeral service will take place at St Paul's Church, Childer Thornton, On Wednesday 4th March 2026 at 11am.This will be followed by Chester Crematorium at 12pm. Family Flowers only, but should anyone want to donate to Angela's favourite charity then please make a donation to Cancer Research UK. Angela's wish would be for anyone attending to wear bright colours or whatever people would feel comfortable in. Peacefully passed away on 31st January 2026 at 82 years old. Wendy grew up in Runcorn, and moved to Helsby when she got married, living there for over 50 years. Wendy will be greatly missed by her dearly loving family - husband Ken; brother David; children Louise & Simon; grandchildren Ryan and Connie; and all the members of her extended family. Wendy's Funeral Service will take place at Walton Lea Crematorium, 10.40am on Friday 20th February 2026.
