Cadbury has left customers overjoyed and horrified in equal measure by suggesting chocolate fans melt and spread their Creme Eggs on toast. One person even went as far as to one brand it 'evil'.
The confectionery giant incurred the wrath of chocaholics after sharing a clip online of melted Creme Eggs being cut into and spread on toast like a typical breakfast offering. The social media post read 'Treat your toast to some proper eggs! How do you eat yours?'
Some Creme Egg fans raved about the indulgent breakfast option while others branded it 'grim' with one going so far as to declare it 'evil'. Video footage of the super-sweet breakfast suggestion went viral, racking up more than 44,000 views and 556 likes and comments.
One person wrote: "That's just evil." Another commented: "Grim"
One wrote: "It looks so yum." Another commented: "My idea of toast."
One user was so convinced that the chocolate eggs looked real they felt compelled to ask: "I'm early morning confused: is at least one of those eggs real or are both Cadbury?" Cadbury has been approached for comment.
