Cheshire cocaine dealer, 60, jailed after police raid
£40,000 worth of cocaine was seized along with scales, phones, cash and a sword
Coke-dealing Robert Yates has been jailed. The 60-year-old pleaded guilty to possessing the class A drug cocaine with intent to supply.
It followed a raid at a property - on Union Street, in Sandbach - which netted cocaine worth £40,200, scales, phones, cash, and a sword. Now the defendant - who lives on Union Street - has been handed a 35-month prison sentence.
Cheshire Police have welcomed the sentence handed down at chester-crown-court>Chester Crown Court. Following the case, Sergeant Craig Hodson said: “This is just one of many warrants local policing units carry out in order to disrupt illegal drug supplies and make life difficult for dealers.
"We will continue in our efforts to rid communities of the illegal drugs to improve our neighbourhoods. If anyone has any information about drug dealing in their neighbourhood you can contact us on 101 or via our website and we will do the rest.”
