Cheshire gastropub reopens its doors after five-day makeover
It's about to celebrate its 10th birthday
A Cheshire gastropub preparing to celebrate its 10th birthday has reopened this weekend. The Wheatsheaf, in Sandbach, has been closed for a 'refresh' since Monday 12 January.
The Hightown venue reopened at midday on Saturday. In a social media post to customers, the venue stated: "You may have noticed a little activity. After 10 amazing years, we’ve been quietly refreshing The Wheatsheaf - adding comfort, space and those small details that make time together even better. We can’t wait to show you."
Pear Hospitality reopened The Wheatsheaf in December 2016 after a £500,000 refurbishment. The former coaching inn was built in 1890.
