Cheshire pub closes its doors for major six-figure makeover
It reopens at the end of the month
A Cheshire pub has closed its doors for a major revamp. The Eight Towers in Widnes will reopen on February 25 following a £393,700 makeover.
The Marston’s boozer will feature two distinct areas - a locals' bar and a welcoming family lounge. A central partition will create distinct spaces within the pub.
Alongside this, guests can also enjoy a menu packed with pub favourites and the much-loved kids’ menu will also return, featuring smaller portions of pub favourites for children over five, as well as a fun “build-your-own” option for under fives. The bar area will show all key sporting fixtures, including football, rugby, cricket, tennis, F1, darts, and horse racing.
Pub partner Paul Gostling said: "We’re incredibly excited to announce the refurbishment of the Eight Towers, to welcome our community, whatever the occasion. The refurbishment will create more employment opportunities, both front and back of house, and will provide a new space for our customers to enjoy a drink at the bar, to watch this year’s biggest sporting events, or spend quality time over a family meal."
