The opening day of Chester Christmas market 2023
The much-loved Chester Christmas Market returns this month - and the full line-up of traders and stalls has now been confirmed. The annual festive market on Town Hall Square is a big hit with both visitors and city residents.
The market - boasting Alpine-style chalets, twinkling fairy lights and a majestic Christmas tree - launches on November 15. It will run daily from 10.30am until December 22.
Sunday to Wednesday sees the market open until 6.30pm, while Thursday to Saturday closing time is slightly later at 8pm. More than 50 stallholders will be operating along with food and drink bars.
The market is held in the shadow of the imposing façade of Chester Town Hall and opposite Chester Cathedral. It's also close to Chester's popular new market and the Northgate development.
