These eateries all received impeccable cleanliness scores in 2024

The year is coming to a close and it’s doubtless than most of us have enjoyed our fair share of takeaways and dinners along the way.

But diners aren’t the only ones who’ve been busy – the Food Standards Agency has been inspecting venues to make sure standards are up to scratch. They’ve been dishing out ratings all year so customers can indulge knowing their food is prepared and stored hygienically.

A score of 5 indicates standards are ‘very good’, and is the highest rating available. It shows the eatery is fully compliant with food hygiene laws and has no issues at the time of inspection.

Ratings are based on a variety of factors:

• handling of food
• how food is stored
• how food is prepared
• cleanliness of facilities
• how food safety is managed
