Driver crashes into teenage cyclist in Chester and fails to stop

The driver drove away after colliding with the 14-year-old cyclist on Toll Bar Road in Great Boughton

A 14-year-old cyclist was hit by car in Chester before the driver fled the scene of the crash. Police are now urging any witnesses to come forward.


The incident happened on Monday, November 25, with police receiving reports of a collision in Toll Bar Road, Great Boughton, Chester.


The caller reported the collision occurred shortly before 5.30pm and involved a vehicle and a pedal cycle. The cyclist, a 14-year-old boy, suffered minor injuries, however the vehicle failed to stop at the scene.


The vehicle involved is believed to be a black car.

PC Lena Martin said: “Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances and we are now looking for anyone who witnessed what happened or may have dashcam footage of the incident to come forward to help us identify the vehicle involved.
