End of an era as Cheshire visitor attraction cafe shuts for good
It's closed with immediate effect
A cafe has closed with immediate effect. Le Cafe at Glebe Farm has been operating at the Congleton attraction.
It was rebranded by Ricardo Andrade in 2019. But its sudden closure has been announced this week.
Glebe Farm - on Peel Lane, in Astbury - boasts a number of shops, including a butchers and a farm shop. It also has a children’s play area, tractor rides in the summer, and animals, including alpacas, donkeys, ponies and goats.
In a social media post to customers, Ricardo stated: "After much thought and with a heavy heart, we want to share that Le Cafe at Glebe Farm has closed its doors. This has not been an easy decision, but unfortunately we have had no choice but to close. I would like to personally thank each and every one of you for your incredible support over the years. The loyalty, kindness and community spirit shown by the people of Congleton has meant more than words can express. Le Cafe has been more than just a café — it’s been a place of friendships, conversations, and shared moments. We are so grateful to have been part of this wonderful community. Thank you, Congleton, for supporting us, visiting us, and making Le Cafe what it was."
