Students from Ellesmere Port Catholic High School celebrated their results
Today has been a day of elation for Ellesmere Port Catholic High School staff and students alike.
They are delighted to see so many of their students reaching and surpassing their potential at GCSE, and they congratulate the efforts and subsequent achievements of them all.
The school would like to thank Year 11 pupils for their hard work; parents and guardians for their continued support; and staff for their dedication to our students’ achievements.
Some outstanding individual successes to note are Eleanor McKevitt who achieved 9 grade 9-7 results; Joseph Ainsworth who achieved 10 grade 9-6 results; and Danielle Van Der Merwe, Isabella Blackhall and Libby Gilmour who all achieved 9 grade 9-6 results.

Headteacher Caroline Vile said: “We would like to give special mention to our mathematics department, with 64% grade 9-4 attainment. This is a substantial improvement consistent with our outstanding mathematics A Level results last week. We are incredibly proud of our students and department for this achievement.
“It has also been a great year for art (100% 9-4), biology (89.5% 9-4), chemistry (92.1% 9-4), physics (86.8% 9-4), English language (68.5% 9-4), English literature (65% 9-4) and modern foreign languages (85% 9-4) including Italian (100% Grade 9).
“Also of note, we are proud to achieve a 100% pass rate for our BTEC subjects (business studies, creative digital media production, music, health and social care, sport and travel and tourism).
“On behalf of all staff and governors at Ellesmere Port Catholic High School, we wish our Year 11 students every success in their future studies and careers.
“We are and will continue to be relentless in ensuring that students at Ellesmere Port Catholic High School get the best possible education.”
