Househunters to get first glimpse of Cheshire town's new 120-home estate

Househunters can get their first glimpse inside the show homes at a new Cheshire housing estate this weekend. Anwyl’s new Elmy Fields development in Congleton will be showcasing two properties from Saturday (February 21).
The launch event for the 120-home venture, located off Wolstenholme Elmy Way, will offer buyers the chance to explore two of Anwyl’s most popular detached house types – the three-bedroom Birkdale and the four-bedroom Cartmel.
Graeme Gibb, sales director for Anwyl Homes Cheshire and North Wales, said: “Both homes feature our signature blend of traditional exteriors and contemporary, energy efficient interiors. They have been styled and furnished by our team of interior designers to showcase the potential of the space.”
Visitors to the event will be welcomed with complimentary prosecco, soft drinks and freshly prepared pizzas, served from a pop-up pizza oven throughout the afternoon. Graeme added: “We’re hoping to create a relaxed afternoon for guests to explore the homes and speak with our team. An independent financial adviser will also be available on the day, offering free, expert guidance to anyone considering purchasing a new home from us, including first time buyers to those looking to move up or downsize.
“Our sales team will also be on hand to answer questions and provide advice. Guests will also be able to use a 3D interactive screen to explore the wider development and see how Elmy Fields will look once completed.”
Elmy Fields is being developed across 13 acres and will feature extensive green spaces, natural landscaping and footpaths, alongside four acres of public open space, including a children’s play area. Named after pioneering women’s rights campaigner Elizabeth Clarke Wolstenholme Elmy, the development is located close to Congleton town centre and benefits from excellent transport links via the Congleton Link Road.
Current prices start from £299,995 for a two-bedroom semi-detached home. The show homes will be open from 12pm to 5pm on Saturday, February 21. The sales office and show homes will then be open five days a week, Thursday to Monday, from 10am to 5.30pm.
