Inside new-look Cheshire pub that's 'for everyone' after major revamp
It's undergone a six-figure makeover

A Cheshire pub has reopened its doors following a major revamp. The Eight Towers in Widnes has recently undergone a £393,700 makeover.
The Marston’s boozer features two distinct areas - a locals' bar and a welcoming family lounge. Alongside this, guests can now also enjoy a menu packed with pub favourites and the much-loved kids’ menu, featuring smaller portions of pub favourites for children over five, as well as a fun “build-your-own” option for under fives.
The bar area will show all key sporting fixtures, including football, rugby, cricket, tennis, F1, darts, and horse racing. The community hero chosen to pull the first pint to officially mark the reopening was given to Joe Edge, a regular at the pub and member of the town’s rugby team.
The newly updated bar area features large HD screens to keep guests entertained with all the latest sports action. The space also includes a dedicated darts area and pool table, so guests can challenge friends, enjoy some friendly competition, and soak up the lively atmosphere. The Eight Towers is also a dog-friendly venue.
Pub partner Lizzie Eustace said: “We’re so excited to be back open and show off the fantastic new look. We’ve worked hard to make The Eight Towers a space for everyone - whether you're catching the game with friends, enjoying a family lunch, or just popping in for a pint. The new Sky Sports package, refreshed interiors, and outdoor seating make it a perfect spot year-round.”
