Inside popular Chester city centre pub on the market for £1.5m

The 'impressive' listed building is a former Georgian depository

Earlier this week we reported that a popular Chester city centre pub had been put on the market. Brewhouse and Kitchen, which sells award-winning craft beers, is up for sale with a guide price of £1.5m.

The Rightmove listing describes the sale as a "rare opportunity", adding that there is planning permission in place for 17 bedrooms in the upper floors of the historic Love Street building. Leisure property specialists Fleurets are marketing the historic building.

It states: "This impressive Grade II listed Georgian-era building, formerly a depository, has been converted into high-quality licensed premises. Constructed of traditional brick beneath multi-pitched slate roofs, the property is arranged over part two, part four storeys and offers extensive internal space with significant future development potential.

"The property offers fully fitted trading areas across the lower ground and ground floors. The lower ground floor, accessed from street level, features two private trading areas with exposed brick walls and barrel-vaulted ceilings. The ground floor is accessed via steps from the main entrance or by a disabled lift and features traditional finishes throughout, including hardwood timbers."

Tim Martin, Divisional Director at Fleurets North West, added: “This is a unique chance to acquire a landmark freehold property in the heart of Chester. Currently operating as a corporate-managed Brewhouse & Kitchen, the site offers significant potential."
