'Is not missing the junction worth points and a fine?' Police make example out of van driver

Cheshire Police is warning motorists to drive on to the next junction if they miss their exit on the motorway

A van driver was pulled over and reported by police after cutting across solid white lines on the motorway.

Cheshire Police took to Twitter on Friday evening to warn motorists to drive on to the next junction if they miss their exit.

A photo of the white van cutting across the solid white line in order to make the motorway exit was posted by Cheshire Police Roads and Crime Unit at 10.51pm.

The post read: "Is not missing the junction worth points and a fine?

"Don't risk it and cut across the solid white lines just drive on to the next junction.

"Traffic on the slip road doesn't expect you to change lanes at this point. Driver stopped and Traffic Offence Report issued."
