Louise Minchin reveals first food she tucked into after 'extraordinary' I'm A Celeb stint

The former breakfast host joined Good Morning Britain for her first interview out of the castle

Louise Minchin reveals what she did when she left the camp - and what her first meal was

Former BBC Breakfast presenter Louise Minchin was named as the fifth celebrity to leave the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! castle.

The 53-year-old journalist - who lives in Chester - made her exit from the castle on Thursday night (December 9).

Louise joined Good Morning Britain presenters Kate Garraway and Adil Ray on Friday morning and revealed the experience was "extraordinary" but she's "excited" to be going home.

"I feel really relieved, really happy," she explained: "I loved my time in there but honestly I'm so excited to be going home. I'm warm for the first time, in a very long time, and yeah I would love to still be there but I'm really happy to be out."

GMB's Kate Garraway, who took part in I'm A Celeb in 2019, asked: "Did you come out and just sort of sit on the radiator and fill your face with lots of food?"

Louise laughed and replied: "I came out and I got into a very deep and very long bath and I've had another one again this morning. I had fish and chips, honestly I've been desperate for any kind of different food, but fish and chips had definitely been on my mind.

"I had a pile of pancakes this morning, with cream and raspberry jam. It's been such an extraordinary experience, those rice and beans, I couldn't eat them for the first five days. I'm not sure you ever get used to them!"

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! continues on Friday (December 10) on ITV from 9pm.
