New era for family-run sports shop that's been trading for nearly 50 years
It closed at the weekend - but a new chapter has begun at the well-known store
A family-run Cheshire town centre sports shop that's been trading since 1978 has closed in its current form - but a new chapter is now underway at the well-known store. Rosebank Sports on Witton Street, Northwich, is now home to three of the Turner family's new business ventures.
Its last trading day as Rosebank Sports was on Saturday. In a post on the store's Facebook page, the family explained: "It is with a sad heart that we must share some important news. After several wonderful years serving our local running and fitness community, Rosebank Running and Fitness will be closing.
"We, the Turner family (Tony, Terry, and Jaynie), want to express our deepest gratitude and a thank you for your loyal support and friendship during our years. You have been the heart of this business. While this chapter closes, the Rosebank story is far from over. We are excited to announce our family’s new ventures, all operating from our beloved store:
"Terry now manages Club Rackets, a specialist retailer for all racket sports (including the latest craze, Padel!), located at the front of the store. Jaynie is now a trainee Podiatrist and a main partner of the FitLab Clinic, operating from a newly created treatment room at the rear of the store.
"Tony will now focus on Rosebank Services and Rosebank Wellbeing, operating from the first-floor rooms. This isn't goodbye - it's a new beginning in a different form. We remain deeply committed to serving your health, fitness, and wellbeing needs."
