Plans have been lodged to convert a former Chester pub into two houses. The Spital Vaults in Boughton permanently closed its doors last year.

Now, a planning application has been submitted to Cheshire West and Chester Council on behalf of applicant Roy Chung. The proposal is for a 'change of use from disused public house with living accommodation into two houses'.

One two-bed and one three-bed property would be created as a result of the conversion. The planning application states that work on the scheme started in December last year but has not been completed.
