Police in CCTV appeal after man attacked outside Cheshire bar

The victim sustained serious injuries

Detectives have released a CCTV image of a man they are trying to identify following an attack outside a town centre bar. Police were alerted to an assault outside The Snug bar on Witton Street, near to the junction of Tabley Street, in Northwich at 4.11am on Sunday, March 8.


Officers discovered that a 38-year-old local man had sustained serious injuries as a result of the incident. Enquiries have been ongoing since the incident took place and officers have now released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to.


Detective Constable Alice Ewins said: "Enquiries in relation to this incident are ongoing and we’re committed to doing all we can to trace the person responsible. While we appreciate the CCTV footage isn’t the clearest, the man is wearing a distinctive jacket with a stripe across the chest.


“If you recognise the man pictured, please get in touch with us by calling 101, or report information to us via online at www.cheshire.police.uk/tell-us quoting IML-2284788. The same goes for anyone with any further information in relation to the incident.. I would also appeal directly to the man pictured to contact us."

Information can also be reported anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
