Fresh from the finale of Love Island All Stars, ITV has served up a brand new reality programme for audiences to devour.
Presented by Olivia Attwood, The Heat launched on Tuesday (February 24). The contest brought together 10 ambitious chefs vying to wow award-winning culinary maestro Jean-Christophe Novelli, who operates an upmarket eatery in Barcelona.
In contrast to typical cooking programmes, this series tracks participants both inside and outside the kitchen. The filming continues even as competitors venture out for evenings in the Catalan capital.
ITV promises: "These young hopefuls will quickly realise that no-one's place is secure in this fierce culinary contest, as they consistently battle it out in a bid to climb the kitchen ranks.
"Promotions, demotions, power plays, sackings and shock decisions throughout the series are sure to keep the contenders on their toes - every service is a chance to soar or sink," reports OK!.
Akito Greenland features amongst the determined chefs, and he might ring a bell for certain viewers.

Akito is an enormously successful social media chef commanding 147,000 followers on TikTok and a further 87,000 on Instagram.
The 24-year-old, hailing from Cheshire, posts material under the username @akitogreenland. His lively content includes vlogs documenting the day-to-day life of a chef, alongside recipes for supporters to recreate at home.
Having launched his culinary journey at merely 16 years of age, Akito has already penned a cookbook entitled Oishii, which is packed with recipes inspired by his mum and grandma.

Akito also has connections with fellow reality star and content creator Nella Rose. The pair teamed up for a YouTube video in 2023 just prior to Nella entering the I'm A Celeb jungle.
In the video, titled I Turned Nella Rose Into A Chef, Akito prepared five dishes for Nella and her friends to sample. He also tutored Nella in restaurant-standard chopping and presentation.
